My first large project was a full-sized blanket for my nephew. I bought Caron Simply Soft in several shades of blue and skeins of white from Fabric.com.
To knit this blanket, I held the yarn double and knit with a size 13 circular bamboo needle.
Needed:
- 12 skeins total Caron Simply Soft Solids (2 of each color for stripes)
- Size 13 circular needles 48″
Directions:
CO 200 stitches with yarn held double using long tail cast on
Knit back and forth with the two skeins at once until they are gone
Start next stripe color and continue until all 12 skeins are used up
Tie in loose end strings
